When you;re left in Manila, where do you plan to go? Me? I went to Bonifacio High Street to witness the Walkway: Reflection on the Station of the Cross that was set up by Church Simplified.
When I saw it on the TV, I got curious and thought why not give it a try. I've been doing the traditional Visita Iglesia and Station of the Cross but this experience gave me the same feeling. It's very relieving to do at least once sacrifice for God.
There are 14 black boards with white text in it. The black boards represent the 14 Stations of the Cross. They not only let you to think and reflect but they also prepared a little activities. There's this you have to pray for someone you don't know. Carry a cross. Give little donation for the education of children. walk in a dark room and see the light. The last station willn let you see the light and write down someone who touches your life.
After the walk, me and my best friend had a coffee bonding and tried the Jamba Juice. I was able to reflect and refresh. Thank you Lord for saving us. I trust and believe in You.
There is no rules or exemption on how you'll do or reflect during Holy Week. As long as you appreciate, believe and give thanks what Jesus' had sacrificed for us.
